About Dr. Squillante

Dr. Squillante has been a member of Retina Associates of New York since 2015. Prior to joining Retina Associates, Dr. Squillante had his own solo retina practice for over 30 years in New York City.

Dr. Squillante earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Upon graduation, he completed a year of surgical internship and a year of neurosurgical residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Medical Center in the Bronx.

After completing his military service in the United States Airforce, Dr. Squillante completed athree­ year residency in ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Having a desire to specialize in retinal disorders, Dr. Squillante obtained a fellowship in retinal diseases at the world-famous Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital. Thisretinal fellowship was completed under the auspices of Dr. Arnall Patz, a world-renowned leader in laser treatment of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Upon returning to New York City, Dr. Squillante founded "Retinacare", a solo retina practice dedicated to providing quality, one-on-one care of retinal disorders. He now continues his work at Retina Associates of New York, by providing care dedicated to individual patient needs.

Dr. Squillante is a member of The American Society of Retina Specialists, The American College of Surgeons and The American Academy of Ophthalmology.
